BIOGRAPHY
Stephanie Moore is equally at ease in the worlds of instrumental and electroacoustic music, and particularly enjoys using technology in her creative practice. Based in Montreal, she obtained a Master’s degree in composition from the Université de Montréal, where she studied with Ana Sokolovic and Philippe Leroux. Her work has twice been performed at the Cluster New Music and Integrated Arts Festival in Winnipeg as well as the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, and has also featured in the Sound Travels festival of New Adventures in Sound Art and the SummerWorks Performance Festival in Toronto, among others.
Recent concert music commissions include receive joy former all (for choir and electric guitar) performed by Voces Boreales and Tim Brady, Building Rooms 2.0 (for clarinet, percussion, fixed media and video) from Ensemble In Extensio, and Refracted Moonlight (for voice, mixed chamber ensemble and fixed media) from the Plumes Ensemble. She is also keen on interdisciplinary collaboration and in 2019 cocreated Zoom-Boom-Boom with playwright Alexis Diamond. This theatrical concert, commissioned and produced by les Jeunesses Musicales du Canada, has to date received performances at Place des Arts in Montreal and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, with many more to come. With the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, she is currently undertaking the composition of an album of acousmatic music inspired by food alchemy.

Stephanie Moore est également à l’aise dans les univers de la musique instrumentale et électroacoustique, et elle tient particulièrement à l’intégration de la technologie au sein de sa démarche créatrice. Basée à Montréal, elle détient une maîtrise en composition de l'Université de Montréal, où elle a étudié avec Ana Sokolovic et Philippe Leroux. Ses œuvres ont été deux fois programmées au Cluster New Music and Integrated Arts Festival à Winnipeg ainsi qu’au New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival et elles ont aussi figuré au festival Sound Travels de New Adventures in Sound Art et au SummerWorks Performance Festival à Toronto, entre autres.

S’intéressant beaucoup à la collaboration interdisciplinaire, elle a créé en 2019 Zoom-boum-boum en collaboration avec l’autrice Alexis Diamond. Ce concert théâtral, commandé et produit par les Jeunesses Musicales du Canada, a été présenté dernièrement à la Place des Arts à Montréal et au Centre national des arts à Ottawa, avec de nombreuses représentations à venir. À l’aide d’une subvention du Conseil des arts du Canada, elle travaille actuellement sur un album de musique acousmatique inspiré par l’alchimie alimentaire.
